Pelinkovac is an authentic Croatian spirit, deeply rooted in local tradition. Loved by both young and old, it is present in moments of celebration and moments of reflection alike. It is excellent served chilled, yet equally enjoyable at room temperature. Most often enjoyed neat, it is also traditionally paired with a few drops of lemon juice.

At the same time, pelinkovac represents a considerable challenge for any distiller. The large number of aromatic herbs and botanicals must be carefully balanced during distillation, while its characteristic colour and delicate caramel notes require a particularly precise approach in craft production.

Wanting to pay tribute to one of the symbols of the Croatian landscape, Cain&Abel spent more than two years developing its own Pelin through countless trials and refinements. The result is a balanced spirit where bitter and sweet notes intertwine with the intoxicating aromas of the Adriatic karst and gentle caramel — harmonious, refined and restrained, exactly as Pelin is meant to be enjoyed.
